About Me

Before I begin my biography please let me tell you how proud I am of all my One Stroke™ painting students. I want to recognize all of them for all of their accomplishments and personal achievements. They have given their painting projects to family, friends and neighbors as gifts and presents for special occasions. They have their paintings displayed in their own homes. Many have sold their paintings, painted community projects and painted for their church. Several of my students have become OSCI’s, OSCI Level 2, High Definition Instructors, Studio Home Clay Dimension, Gallery Glass Specialists, One Stitch Certified Instructors and Professional Home Specialist (formerly Wall & Furniture Specialist). In fact, some are presently working toward becoming an Elite. My compliments go to each and every student that I have ever painted with and will paint with in the future.

Okay! Let’s get going. Following is a list of my stuff.

             Specialties:
  • Level 1 One Stroke™ Certified Instructor
  • Level 2 One Stroke™ Certified Instructor
  • Elite One Stroke™ Certified Instructor
  • One Stroke™ Certifying Elite Director
  • One Stroke™ National Education Trainer
  • One Stroke™ Certified Wall & Furniture Specialist
  • Studio Home Dimensions Regional Trainer
  • High Definition Certified Instructor
  • One Stitch Specialist
  • Gallery Glass Instructor

I took my first One Stroke™ painting class in Jacksonville, Florida with a Certified One Stroke™ Instructor in 2002. I continued taking classes in Jacksonville and then on to taking classes in Daytona, Orlando and Altamonte Springs. I enjoyed taking classes from different instructors because I always learned from each of them. In 2003 I became a One Stroke™ Certified Instructor. I was extremely fortunate to be taught by Donna Dewberry herself.

I was now off and running and started teaching at a Michaels craft store where I taught for 3 years. I also started teaching One Stroke classes for the local Adult and Community Education Department. Next, I went on to teaching One Stroke™ classes for the Palm Coast Recreation and Parks Department, the South Daytona Beach Shores Community Center and the Trout Creek Community Center. I had a painting studio for three years. In addition, I have taught classes at local clubhouses for various developments, clubs and associations including the Red Hat Society, Woman’s Club, Elks, etc.

I have taught painting privately in people’s homes. I have taught at AC Moore.
I have been involved with various arts and crafts shows. I have demonstrated One Stroke™ painting at almost every available opportunity including Home Shows, clubs and schools. I just love sharing and teaching the One Stroke™ painting technique.

I have attended the One Stroke™ Super Education Convention every year since 2004. I have had fun teaching Do and Dash classes at convention.

My personal goal for a long time was to provide my One Stroke™ painting students the opportunity to meet Donna and get to talk with her. One of the things that I am most proud of is arranging for Donna and her husband, Marc to come to Palm Coat to do a painting demonstration, book signing and a photo session. The event was overwhelmingly successful. Donna was so excited and appreciative to see such support and enthusiasm. The story gets even better. Donna and Marc accepted my invitation to stay overnight at my home. My husband, Richie and Marc went surf fishing. Donna and I took a relaxing walk on the beach where we found an assortment of pretty sea shells.

Anyhow, as you can tell from the credentials listed above, I have a personal quest for knowledge. I want to learn all that I can. The more I learn the better that I can teach you. My mission is to help One Stroke™ painters become better painters and learn as much as they want. My objective is to teach One Stroke™ painting to students while together we learn, laugh, have fun, socialize, meet new painting friends and have a good time painting.

With that thought in mind I am so pleased to be traveling and teaching One Stroke™ painting at Training Camps and Certifications. I am personally inviting you to sign up and participate in any of my classes. Please feel comfortable in calling or e-mailing me with any comments, thoughts or suggestions. I am here for you.
