Studio™  Home Dimensions (Clay) Certification

 As an aside, I have heard lots of testimonies as I travel around the country teaching students. Many claim that by adding clay to their One Stroke™ painting projects they are able to sell the piece at a higher price. Now, that is not hard to take. It only makes sense that by adding clay enhancements to projects that they have painted, those items would sell much better and for more money than regular One Stroke™  paintings. What a wonderful combination! The marriage of One Stroke™ painting and clay. Go for it.

Please let me point out again that clay projects can and definitely do stand on their own. That is one of the reasons this Certification was created.

I would like to share my personal experience with you.  I have rheumatoid arthritis.  My fingers now have an interesting arthritis shape to them.  I am able to work with the clay very comfortably.  In fact, I will introduce you to a product at certification. It has made working with clay so easy for me.

Please bring the following supplies to the certification:

• 8-10 " Letter of the alphabet- either wood or paper Mache I use the letter "P" for my first name, Pat.

• Water Basin

• Permanent marker any color

• Paper Towels

• Baby Wipes (optional)  This helps to keep your hands clean.

• Container for tools   -  I use a coffee cup to hold my tools during class.

• Index Cards 5 x 8 - white

• Paper plates (not Styrofoam)

• Ziploc sandwich bags   They have several purposes. 

1. Store left over clay.  We don't want to waste any.  
2. They are also used to store tools.
3. Store shape makers.
4. Store texture makers.

• Please bring a plastic placemat for a surface to work on with the clay.

• Pasta machine is optional.  I got mine at a craft store using a coupon.
